As part of his “Sketch a Day” series, “DAY 137” stands out as it is among the Gartastic’s few realistic pieces. The portrait is that of Caelum, an original character of LetsCake. Due to a fit of temporary madness, Gartastic decided to take on art trades. Not understanding the depth of his psychosis, he became overly ambitious; attempting to digitally paint a realistic. The results, as you can see, were quite disastrous; a clumsy and amateurish swirl of brush strokes and color. The experience proved to be quite traumatic for the young artist, as he described in his diary, “Note to self: NO REALISM, NO PAINTING, EVER. Also, why is there a duck in the room?”

Still in the throes of insanity, he presented his work to Letscake. Enraged by the horrific piece, Letscake broke of their internet friendship, cutting of all ties, and unfollowing Gartastic.

I quite like this. It works very well since the character is old-fashioned :)

And pffpff, I wouldn’t unfollow you gosh~

Decided to slowly begin working on this old project again.

It’s a collection of literally almost every OC I’ve ever had. Maybe I can complete it before the year is over.

It’ll look really impressive once I’m done.

Making it painfully obvious how limited my stylization is…

Just messing around. I didn’t think it was post-able worthy but my friends were all “go ahead!” so I did.

I decided to name her Caelum because it fits in with this other thing I did once that you guys will probably never see because I’m horrible with actually doing anything with these little head-stories. /bluh

Very very badly wanted to animate this but smoke is really difficult… :(
